Nanci is a retired RN who picked up the pen in 2004 after a 25 yr hiatus.  Life has not always been gentle, but God has been Nanci’s shield and buckler through each and every storm. “Whatever I have been, am, and will be I owe to HIM.”  Nanci used to be very active in the church, teaching Sunday school and being an altar worker, but with her Mom requiring so much care, she has had to set this aside for now.  Nanci is a voluminous reader and has kept a journal most of  her life.  Her most recent attempts have been to illustrate some of her works, they have remained unseen. We are hoping that Nanci will share some of her art with us here soon.   Nanci’s passions, aside from Jesus and her family, are gardening, cooking, sewing, and enjoying her fur kids, two Yorkies, Josiah and Shiloh.  Nanci’s poetry has been published in an anthology, Free Verse, and the Society of Virginia Poet's magazine.  “I am always amazed and grateful that my poetry is received and enjoyed by some.” Nanci will also be included in our upcoming book still to be titled, a best of , from Soul Asylum Poetry and Publishing…..
