Kat Stiles is a Mother of three children, Stepmother of four, and Grandmother. An amazing Woman, strong, caring, and compassionate with a creative flair and zest for life that is to be admired.

Bitter Sweet September

September brings both beginnings and endings
Moments of precious wonder and moments of remembering

Summer green leaves
mimic something new that dies
They change, then they fall
The tree stands bare as each branch cries

Embedded in my mind
Surfacing, smiles of a tenderness
Lost in kisses still remembered
an easily forgotten bitterness

As the memories fall before me
I'm left stripped but still I know
Before the season is gone away
new memories will begin to grow

Bringing warmth to help prepare
for a long winter, cold
Till I see the rosebud blossom
and watch her petals begin to unfold

Till then, I'll keep the memories
that have fallen in the autumn breeze
In the darkest part of winter
The sun will shine and bring relief
