Only Human
Pop/Rock/Christian

Only Human is an up and coming pop/rock/Christian band whose music sends a positive message. Most recently, some of the band’s members (Alexis, Kevin and Jim) appeared on a compilation CD ‘Serenity House’ alongside some popular international artists such as: ASIA, Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull, Kathy Sledge of Sister Sledge, and Annie Haslam of Renaissance.
Only Human band members include: Alexis Hoover (lead vocals/guitar), Anna Keretzman (background vocals), Kevin Mackie (bass), Jim Czerpak (drums) and Les Reisz (lead guitar).

Alexis Hoover, at the age of 16, took up the guitar and discovered her ability to write songs. A year later she joined the Paul Green School of Rock in Downingtown where she learned how to play the drums. Even though Alexis has her own unique style of singing, her audiences have compared her to Natalie Merchant and the Bangles.
In the summer of 2005 Alexis recorded her very first solo album ‘Free to Fly’ where she sang, played guitar, piano and percussion. She even had the opportunity to write a song with Bill DiLuigi entitled ‘So Right’ which received radio air play. The next year, Alexis made her first TV appearance on WGCB TV 49 where she performed three songs promoting the Mountain Jam festival in Genesee, PA. A couple months later Alexis joined the band ‘Think of 3’ playing guitar and keyboards. Alexis, Kevin, and Jim from ‘Think of 3’ have now formed the band ‘Only Human.’
In 2007, Alexis’ song ‘Somewhere’ appears on the Serenity House CD to benefit the building of a hospice in Doylestown PA. Alexis also donates her time to run the Serenity House CD’s MySpace including all purchases of the CD. To promote the CD, Alexis was seen on PBS channel 39 with Grover Silcox, popular Philadelphia region personality. Alexis and Kevin (bass player from Only Human) can now be heard world wide due to international sales.

Kevin Mackie is the bass player of Only Human. He also plays guitar and is one of the bands songwriters. He has been seen on Fox TV (with Kathy Sledge of Sister Sledge), appeared on WGCB TV 49 to promote the Mountain Jam festival, interviewed on WXPN radio and PBS 39, WNJC and others, and produced benefit CDs with many international artists. In the past he has played at Musikfest with Steve Pullara and his Cool Beans Band.

Les Reisz’s guitar playing is heavily influenced by Chet Atkins and Phil Keaggy. Les plays a variety of stringed instruments including: Folk, Classical, 12-string, and electric guitars. He also plays upright bass and mandolin. He is an active member of the Delaware Valley Finger Style Guitar Association.
