The Lonely Shizophrenic music profile

Influences: Any music that can be heard that doesn't have a whack of euro cheese off it. We try, where we can, to write our own style of comedy music. We don't take life too seriously nor the music; it's all for the craic. Our main influences come from the acts that can be seen at the Peanut Club and other open mic nights like the Zodiac sessions in Dublin. There are some seriously talented musicians and singer song writers out there. God bless them and God bless you.

Anto Kane started writing a few comedy style songs and like the pied piper the rest of the lads joined in with a bit of friendly persuasion and the promise of a few pints. Those few pints have never been bought. Fact. THE MAID FROM CABRA WEST - We do not own, nor do we intend to infringe upon the copyrights of any lyrics or ownership pertaining to this song. This is our cover of an auld Dublin love ballad. We can't find reference to ownership nor copyright on the net. We honestly do not intend to offend nor to propagate this as our own song. Anto Kane, thanks to Mark Phelan, learned this ballad from Georgie in the ballad session at Madam Darkey Kelly's on Fishamble Street. Saturdays 1600-2000. Any proceeds from this song will got to Irish cancer society, which is a domestic charity for cancer sufferers. If you have a problem with us covering this song you may meet us at the back of the church for a fight at 3 pm tomorrow. Crab people was co-written with Mark Darko, respect man for your insight and your ability to write cracking tracks. This song is a tribute to a South Park episode that Mark and myself have never seen. It's a true story loosely based on events that may or may not have happened. Respect goes out to Aidan Smyth, Keith O’Brien and Matty Byrne for providing backing vocals on the recording and for having a hell of a lot of fun while we recorded this track. Special thanks to drumhead from www.musicreview.com for reviewing our songs for us!
