"I am 14 years old and I love to horseback ride, sing, write, and hang out with my friends. I love to give advice to people who need it and will listen to what i have to say. I'm a very outgoing person and I always have plans or something going on. Events that happened in my life are the reason I started writing. It relieves alot of my stress and lets me get out my feelings. Recently, there has been a lot going on in my life which is why I have been writing more frequently.

Lolly and Bandit

Horseback riding is basically my life. I ride my new horse, Bandit, at least three times a week. I've been riding since I was 4 years old. So far with my new horse, I have won one championship and two reserve championships. My horse and I are a really good team. I made a quote describing my passion for horses and dealing with the challenges it brings. Here is my quote:

'For people who think horseback riding is an easy sport, assuming the horse does all the work and the rider sits on their butt and goes along. If you think the horse really steers itself, well it doesn’t. If you think he knows when to turn for the next jump, he doesn’t. For the people who say its easy, I say, “I’d like to see you get on a horse that is excited or spooked, spooking at every noise, movement, or weird shaped object, taking off, bucking wildly across the ring; I say I’d like to see you get on a horse that refuses every jump. We horseback riders fall, we break bones, we get concussions, kicked, bitten, bucked off, taken off with and pinned to the wall. Do we give up? NO! We keep trying and if we fail we keep trying till we learn how to do it right. Sometimes you just cant do it perfectly, but we don’t sell our horse for a push button horse that does everything for us. We work for however long it takes and no matter how long it takes, we still love them and keep trying. When we're riding NOTHING ELSE MATTERS. It doesn’t matter if your boyfriend just dumped you, if your grades are slipping, if your relative passed away; nothing matters except you, the horse, and the ride. You just don’t care that you have to wake up at four in the morning to make the trailer. All you care about is having the thrill of being on the back of your best four legged friend, soaring through the air over three ft high jumps, riding for the fun, coming out with the blue and the look on your trainer's face, thinking “I am so proud of her“. Not only how proud your trainer is, but yourself. Working hours a week every day breaking bones taking falls and getting bucked off, we don’t do it for money or for looks or for the most points. We do it because we love it and we love our beautiful horses'<33"

Here is a sample of Lolly's poetry:

This Life Is Killing Me

on the outside she smiles
trying to hide the pain
at home she struggles
inside shes going insane

stress, worry, fear
it all goes way too far
inside she is broken
deep down she is scarred

she has guilt following her
every move she makes
all the lies and broken promises
all of the mistakes

she takes it out on the innocent
blames herself for it all
"hes depressed because of me"
"thats why he wont answer my calls"

the guilt she holds inside
has now turned into rage
the perfect daughter
is not the role she played

now everything is wrong
and nothing's going right
every conversation
turns into a fight

she makes everyone feel
just as bad as her
thinking it will help
but no, thats not the cure

she's been holding it inside
for way too long
she wants to do things right
she's been this way too long

in search to make things right
she fights to stay strong
its hard to over come
after doing so much wrong

is there hope for this girl
whose struggled through so much
the one last thing she needs
is someone she can trust

Love Letters In The Sand

Lately it is not the same,
Often I wonder.
Veer the wind and the rain,
Every time it thunders.

Lazily I stay at home.
Eventually I'll stop and look...
Toward the window and will see...
Tiny glows of sunshine.
Rise the sun,
Shade no more.

I return to the beach
Not to swim... but

To search for the love letters within.
Hearing his voice in my head as I read,
Eventually, I will see...

Someone is in love with me,
And soon there will be,
Nothing but letters to read.
Daring to search for the one who loves me.
